Wugu-Yangmei elevated expressway, an elevated section with 40km in length along the National Expressway No. 1 in northern Taiwan, and has been opened on April 20th 2013. The total budget of the project was approx. 2.94 billion US dollars. Over the years, the elevated expressway developed to the most important transportation infrastructure in Taiwan. After opening to motorists, the expressway much improved the current operation of Taoyuan Interchange of National Freeway No.1 to alleviate the traffic congestion.
